I HAVE just had a walk round the Quays (well it was raining) and I saw in one shop window the reason why it will never be a success.

A mannequin was dressed in jeans, T-shirt, shoes and a thin cotton jacket next to a sign proudly saying that this outfit only cost Pounds 472.

I could have gone to Peacocks or Primark and bought the same thing for less than Pounds 50.

And all these label junkies would probably not wear this outfit in a few months as it would be "so last season".

Some people really do have more money than sense. I also noticed that while there were quite a few people (it was not exactly heaving, and it was raining) very few actually seemed to be carrying bags from any of the shops. Bemused Gloucester Online
